Andrew Alexander Cole (born 15 October 1971 in Nottingham, England) is a former professional footballer best known for his prolific goal-scoring career as a striker, most notably with Manchester United. He began his professional career at Arsenal before rising to prominence at Newcastle United, where he scored 41 Premier League goals in the 1993–94 season — a record at the time.

Cole joined Manchester United in 1995 and went on to enjoy the most successful period of his career, winning five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, and the UEFA Champions League as part of the club’s historic Treble-winning side in 1998–99. Renowned for his pace, movement, and instinctive finishing, he formed a famous strike partnership with Dwight Yorke.

Across his career, Cole also played for clubs including Blackburn Rovers, Fulham, Manchester City, Portsmouth, and Sunderland, scoring over 180 top-flight goals, making him one of the Premier League’s all-time leading scorers. He earned 15 caps for England, scoring once.
