One of the most fearless and destructive flankers to ever wear the green and gold, Schalk Burger represented South Africa in 86 Tests, anchoring the Springboks during their triumphant 2007 World Cup campaign. Off the rugby pitch, Burger is a formidable presence on the golf course, playing off a razor-sharp 1 handicap. His combination of raw athletic power, big-match temperament, and low-handicap precision gives Team South Africa another genuine elite golfer in their ranks.

Burger’s addition strengthens a loaded host roster led by captain Ernie Els, uniting him with former rugby teammates Fourie du Preez and Butch James, alongside cricket stars AB de Villiers, Shaun Pollock, and Vernon Philander.
